With Thanksgiving right around the corner I just wanted to take the time to say thank you so very much to all my faithful readers out there. When I first started this blog I honestly didn’t think anything would come of it. I figured it would be something I would try out for a few months and then I would probably go back to just writing in a journal. I had no idea how much this blog would truly change my life, which may seem like a funny statement to make to those who are not in the “blogging world” because until I started my blog I had no idea the community there was behind each blog!! I have “met” some really amazing moms that have now become friends. Sure, we mainly talk through blog community boards and emails but true friendships and support have developed and it’s pretty amazing. I find it so refreshing to talk and engage with other women that truly want to support each other. We build each other up, and help one another when we are down (I think we all would agree, blogging is tough sometimes! There are days where we wonder why we even bother and other days where we just what to plain quit) but then it only takes one person to give the right words of wisdom and we find our desire to continue on. We realize that we have put ourselves out there for a reason, and we can’t give up on that….even when it feels like no one is listening, because we are always then reminded that someone, somewhere is waiting for our exact words, and that’s what this is about.
Often times in life I have been around or hear women talk about how they feel that some women only look out for themselves or are too wrapped up in their own lives to notice anything going on in yours. I have also seen women who are too jealous or prideful to offer any kid of encouragement or compliments, even though they are desperately needed. So to find this group of women who are confident in themselves and are willing to help, and provide positive feedback when ever needed, well it’s pretty incredible. I am also very blessed with “non-blogger” friends and family who have been so amazing and supportive of my newest endeavorers even when they may not understand the purpose or desire of blogging. Their ongoing love and encouragement never goes unnoticed and is always cherished in my heart.
My life has also changed because of the people who do not blog, and may not even know me personally but are wonderful, faithful readers who show support and love by reading my posts, commenting and sharing. The messages I receive from people (many that I don’t know) truly mean the world to me. I can’t tell you how much they deeply affect me. I started this blog hoping to be the voice for a few moms out there and turns out… I guess I kind of am? It’s honestly pretty crazy to think about, and friends I do not say that in a boastful way at all, if anything sometimes it feels like a lot of responsibility, but a responsibility I feel super blessed and very thankful to have. I love writing and especially love when others can relate and find a voice through my writing. I have no idea where this will go, and maybe this is all its meant to be, I don’t know. But I am hopeful for the future and praying that God uses me for a bigger purpose that I am not even aware of yet.
I hope you all have a very wonderful Thanksgiving with your families and that you know how very thankful I am for your encouragement and support. So… THANK YOU!!
Love you all.
