My First Product Review!

I went to get the mail on Friday and to my delight I found a box full of items, from a company called Influenster!! They sent me this #XoVoxBox full of products and asked me to try them out and then write about it on my blog!! I love free things, so this was super exciting, opening up the box felt like Christmas, I was so excited to see what was inside!!!

Here’s what I found:

Colgate:

I have been using the Colgate products for only 2 1/2 days now, and I have to say, I already see a difference. I have to admit I was skeptical at first. The whole gel thing on my teeth didn’t sound too inviting, but once I used the pen, I realized it wasn’t bad at all. It goes on super easy, and you don’t have to let it dry or brush it back off. And shockingly it didn’t really taste like anything either, which was awesome. The toothbrush itself I love as well. Its a little on the rougher side, but my teeth feel super clean after, like right after the dentist type of clean. The toothpaste is good too, no foul taste, and not super gritty.  So would I recommend all three of these Colgate products?! YES!! And this is coming from a life long Crest user. I think I may have been converted to Colgate!

John Frieda:

I have used the John Frieda shampoo, conditioner, and sea salt spray 3 times so far. I love how my hair feels and looks after using it!! It definitely makes it smooth and shiny. I don’t however care for the smell. I have to be honest that part was not my favorite. But the great hair after was worth the so-so smell 🙂

As for the sea salt spray, I was SUPER excited to try this, I had been wanting to try a sea salt spray for over a year now, and just never got around to buying one. I was a little disappointed the first day. I sprayed it on wet hair (it says on the bottle it can go on both toweled dry and dry hair) and it didn’t work at all. I felt like my hair had more texture, but definitely no wave. The next day I tried it on dry hair and that worked a lot better. This is perfect for a quick, easy, no fuss hair do. As for the smell for this one, MUCH better, smells kind of like a mix of coconut and beach 🙂

John Frieda also sent a 7 day Volumizer that you put on in the shower, I LOVED that, it worked great, and smelled great .I think this was my favorite John Frieda product.

I would recommend trying all four of these John Friedas products.

Skinfix Hand Repair Cream:

I wanted to love this product. My hands are sooo dry from winter and washing them all the time, so I was excited to see this product in the box. The lotion its self, does work, in fact it stayed on after a few hand washes, and improved my dry skin. BUT the smell, was NOT good… In my opinion it smelled like a hospital, or medical supplies. It was hard to take at first. I am sensitive to smells, but can usually tolerate them okay. I will say though, the smell does not last long, so if you can get past the initial smell of putting it on, you should be okay.

Tide Pods:

Well these may have ruined me. And by that I mean, I may never be able to go back to normal laundry detergent again. These are WONDERFUL!! They had the soap, stain fighter and fabric softener all in one, and you just simply throw the pod into the washer and walk away. The clothes smell great and feel super clean. I was pleasantly surprised by these. I am scared to look at how much they actually cost, because I am sure they are out of my laundry soap budget!! But they may be worth the extra splurge. The only Con I can find with these besides the potential price, is you have to use two of them if its a really big load.

I would 100% recommend trying these, but beware, you might get hooked!!

Overall I was super pleased with all of these products and so honored to be picked to review them.
